Reports

During my travels, I received free accommodation for a night in exchange for writing a daily travel diary. This diary documented how I reached my next destination, the hosts who welcomed me, the food I was offered, and other experiences along the way. Below, you will find the archives of these extensive reports. Please note that English is not my native language, and most entries were written quickly, often around midnight. Enjoy!

--> Madrid (E) 4th day - photos only

At the moment photos only. Stay up to date with publication of a report through the mailinglist.

I said goodbye to Anna and Juan in Madrid and thanked them for my three-nights stay at their place, before leaving off to the Christmas lunch party of my next host Fran Reneses and his girlfriend Coinco.

The party was organised by their own amateur hockey team, who proclamed to be Spain's worst hockey team ever, but still have fun in the sport.

After the lunch, I dropped off my stuff at their apartment in Madrid (beautiful view onto the city!) and we went out again to attend a birthday party of one of the hockey friends in a small bar east of Madrid.

To get me known with some alternative cultures in Spain, Fran and Conchi took me along to Grutto77, a club/stage in Madrid where a ska-band called Neuvos Caņos performed their last performance ever.

And I must say, this band was stunning! Amazing! And we stood straight in front of the stage, jumping and dancing along on the sounds and vocals the band released to us. This evening was an exellend experience, one I won't forget that easily!

Ramon.
