Reports
During my travels, I received free accommodation for a night in exchange for writing a daily travel diary. This diary documented how I reached my next destination, the hosts who welcomed me, the food I was offered, and other experiences along the way. Below, you will find the archives of these extensive reports. Please note that English is not my native language, and most entries were written quickly, often around midnight. Enjoy!Sunday, 4 November 2001
Knysna --> Plettenberg Bay forest (SA)
My apologies to everybody as I can't YET describe this day to you. What started with a cereal breakfast at the Overlanders Lodge in Knysna ended with a 5-course dinner at the 5 STAR Hunter Country House, located in the the beautiful green forest between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.
This day was so unique and so different from my ordinairy travels - was not really used to the luxury and comfort this special place offered me complimentary!
I was being spoiled all day long and it felt very good, of course.
I am thankful to all the people at the Hunter Country House because I had a really very very pleasant stay in their Oak Tree cottage, but I just cannot put this day into words yet. It's so undescribable.
It will take a while. And as I am trying to write this report a couple of days later, so much else had also happened that the words of this day are blocking my thoughts.
Look at the photographs and you might understand it. I hope to tell you about this day later.
Good night Hunters!
Ramon.
